"Books That Make a Difference"

Each acquisitions area below corresponds to an academic interest of Excelsior College, and includes a description of the types of projects we are interested in publishing. It also includes the file formats and the number of documents we are able to accept.

FOR BOOK MANUSCRIPTS:

Note that a cover letter is part of the book/ manuscript submission process. We ask that you complete one. 

Please be brief but thorough and include information about your qualifications and area of expertise; a market analysis and/ or competing works; and, completion plans if not submitting work in its entirety.

Please review these general guidelines:

1-- A complete submission includes a cover letter accompanied by: a finished manuscript, or a professional proposal, or a minimum of 40 manuscript pages with estimated date of completion.
2-- Submissions process is open year-round.
3-- Please send only the materials requested.
4-- Please be sure all pages are numbered.
5-- Hudson Whitman publishes contemporary nonfiction in areas important to the academic mission of Excelsior College. Please, no fiction, short stories, or poetry.
6-- Occasionally, and depending on the number of submissions received, the response time may be slightly longer. Thank you in advance for your patience.
7-- If you have self-published this submission and believe sending a hardcopy would be beneficial, please mail it to:

FOR N21 (JOURNAL ARTICLES):

Please submit one Word doc. An introductory letter and CV/ resume should be the inserted at the beginning of the article. Word count should be 800-2000.

Article should include relevant links and embedded images. If the article has audio or video, please email Sue Petrie (spetrie@excelsior.edu) for file sharing requirements.

Call is open from January 7, 2015 - April 1, 2015. 

Note that each issue contains 4-5 articles. Those accepted will be contacted by April 15, 2015.

N21 is free, therefore we don't request copyright transfer. We do, however, follow Open Access guidelines, and request exclusive right to publish.
